School Daze: Tale your kids out of public schools

Our public schools have been taken over by leftists and idiots. But I repeat myself. Your kids are not safe. Witness:

One plus one. An investigation has found five Baltimore City high schools and one middle school do not have a single student proficient in the state tested subjects of math and English.

Indoctrinate them early. A group of middle school students from New Jersey caused quite a flap, after half of them refused to take a picture with Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan.

They invented new math.  For the last six decades, U.S. public schools have been hiring teachers and full-time non-teaching staff at rates that far outpace the increase in student enrollment. While the number of teachers increased two and a half times faster than student enrollment, the number of non-teaching employees rose more than seven times as much as the increase in students.

Even new math? New "social justice" math class teaches kids that math is evil, dehumanizing. "Mathematics have been used to trick indigenous peoples out of land and property."

What would Jesus do? Two Christian pro-life activists protested abortion outside of a STEM academy. The assistant principal told them to leave, but they persisted in exercising their First Amendment rights. When the protester spoke about innocent unborn children being murdered, the principal shot back, "They're not children, they're cells." He added, "I'm as gay as the day is long and twice as sunny. I don't give a f**k what Jesus tells me and what I should and should not be doing."

Spying on your kids.  Educational technology services often collect far more information on kids than is necessary and store this information indefinitely. This privacy-implicating information goes beyond personally identifying information like name and date of birth, and can include browsing history, search terms, location data, contact lists, and behavioral information. Some programs upload this student data to the cloud automatically and by default. All of this often happens without the awareness or consent of students and their families.

Here's your rainbow. A lesbian teacher in Tampa, Florida, allegedly told at least three of her students to take off the cross necklaces they were wearing while in her ninth-grade classroom. She even displayed political-activist material in the classroom, including a button that says, “I love my LGBT students.” At the beginning of the semester, Ms. Riedas placed LGBT rainbow stickers on students’ classroom folders without their consent, which were there one day when the students arrived.

Is your child safe? More than 500 school employees in Prince George’s County, Maryland, have been placed on administrative leave at some point during this school year in response to alleged child abuse or neglect — a sharp spike over previous years amid a push to report suspicious conduct.

It was not hard to round up these examples. I have many more.
